To ensure your investment piece ages gracefully and maintains its structure and luxurious feel, follow these proper care instructions. The A-grade goat leather is designed to last for years when treated well.
Care Instructions:
Routine Cleaning: Remove loose dust, dirt, or debris with a soft, lint-free cloth or a dry microfibre towel. Never use abrasive cleaners.
Spot Cleaning: For stubborn marks or spills, gently wipe the area with a cloth slightly dampened with cool water. Allow the jacket to air dry completely.
Drying: If the jacket gets wet, hang it on a padded hanger and allow it to air dry naturally at room temperature. Crucially, avoid all direct heat sources (like radiators or blow dryers) and direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to crack or shrink.
Conditioning: Apply a quality leather conditioner specifically formulated for garment leather (not boot leather) 1–2 times a year, or when the leather begins to feel dry. This maintains the suppleness and helps protect the material. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
Storage: When not in use, store your jacket fully zipped on a wide, padded hanger to maintain the integrity of the tailored shoulder and collar structure. Keep it in a cool, dry place, ideally covered with the provided dust bag to protect it from dust.
Avoid: Prolonged exposure to heavy rain, extreme humidity, or direct contact with oils, chemicals, and perfumes.
